Behold, dilemma resolved: our Apple iPhone 14 combo covers combine a sleek, stroke-able leather back cover with the slickest wood accents this side of the Mississippi! 

The leather back: our buttery and robust leather covers are laser-cut, hand-finished, and edge-painted for a durable and gorgeous finish that will develop a patina over time.  All the leathers are full grain (meaning the whole thickness of the hide) which is the highest quality, most durable, and most characteristic of hide cuts.  Because full grain leather it is not refinished, it boasts subtle natural variations that give each piece its unique character, much like the knots and grain patterns found in trees. 

Our two metallic leathers are slightly softer and sport amazing copper and silver tones with a burnished sheen. The solid quality of our leather means that the saturated color won't transfer and our covers not only resist moisture, they get better with time and use.

Our sleek wood veneers/leathers and high-quality adhesives allow our covers to be deliciously slim, assuring that every detail of the iPhone 14 is protected and highlighted without adding bulk.  Toast covers are thinner than traditional cases, yet far more durable (not to mention beautiful!) than a printed vinyl skin.

• We embed a ring of magnets under the leather to increase its holding power (see detail photos).  This slightly increases the thickness of the back panel (0.6mm).

• Apple cutout option will expose a wood layer so the apple showing through in a wood that matches your side wraps.

• The magnet shape may show as a slight bump in the leather.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Natural variations in the color and texture of real leather hides mean that your Toast cover will be a one-of-a-kind!  There are often natural differences between leather dye lots; also, different screens display colors differently, so the exact color and texture of the cover we make for you may vary from what you see in our product photos.  Please read these descriptions of our leather colors to make sure they match what you're hoping for (unfortunately, we cannot accept products returns or offer refunds if you don't end up liking the color you chose!):

Whiskey: a medium-toned, rich, classic caramel-toffee-butterscotch color.

Dark and Stormy: a deep, sooty, charcoal grey, so dark it's almost black. 

Stout: the blackest black you've ever seen; black hole black.

Bluetini: a medium, strong, sophisticated, slightly greenish-teal blue.

Navy Grog: a deep, dark, sophisticated navy.

Mojito: a warm, medium mossy green with a faint touch of olive.

Cherry Bomb: a deep, fire-engine red with a hint of crimson.

Moscow Mule: super-shiny, reflective, bright metallic copper, like a brand-new penny.

Prosecco: a warm, soft, bright aluminum silver with a muted shine. 

A NOTE ABOUT LEATHER: 

We Toasters care deeply about our magical, precious planet and all the living things we share it with.  We craft products from cow leather because is it an amazingly gorgeous, natural, biodegradable material that will not harm the environment when it breaks down.  However, we realize that leather does raise some ethical and environmental concerns. 

Leather is a byproduct of the meat and dairy industries.  Cows are not killed for their hides, and only about 75% of cow hides are turned into leather.  If these hides are not used, they end up in landfills, an inexcusable waste of a valuable resource. Like ethical chefs, we care about honoring these animals by respectfully using all the resources they gift us. 

Thus far, we have not offered 'vegan' leather products because we have not found an environmentally safe version that meets our needs; most such products are made from synthetic polymers that will continue to poison our air, soil, and water with hazardous chemicals for literally thousands of years.  We are researching safe, plant-based, biodegradable leather alternatives and hope to offer one soon.  Thank you for your interest in these incredibly important issues that affect us all, and stay tuned!
