Magsafe is even better!

The iPhone 15 Pro Max is my fourth iPhone to get a Toast cover. All my previous Toast covers were without Magsafe, but after communicating with Customer Service, I decided to give the Magsafe option a try--and I am glad I did! The Magsafe option does not feel noticeably thicker, but the phone now really attracts to Magsafe chargers, much better than just the wood cover alone. It also provides a little more protection to the iPhone. I can say that all my future covers will have the Magsafe option. It is difficult to dress up an iPhone even better than Apple designed it from the start, but a Toast cover is my favorite way to make the iPhone look even better. It gives a mix of natural with the electronics. Also, while this is certainly not a highly protective case, I have yet to ever have physical damage to an iPhone that has a Toast cover, even though I unintentionally drop my iPhones periodically or they fall out of some shorts pockets when seated without warning. I always pair my Toast cover with a glass screen cover, and while that combination leaves the screen cover exposed, a screen cover is easily replaced when cracked without too large an investment. The combination of the Toast cover and glass screen protector gives me peace of mind that I will ultimately be able to trade in my iPhone and still get maximum value towards the next phone.

Give in a get it!

TLDR-if you want a case that gets attention, is unique, and you don’t need an Otterbox level of protection. Get this cover. The added magnets are worth it. If you don’t need military grade protection and just use your phone normally, even with a few drops, the cover lasts. The full review? This is my second toast cover (case? cover for this review). I loved my last one, which was for an iPhone 12 Pro. I’ve had that phone the whole time and my cover still looks amazing. So the covers last. This is the first cover that I got the added engraving done (I regretted not getting it so much on the 12 after I installed it)…and the experience was amazing. My engraving did cost a little extra, $20, but it’s so worth it. I have two different wood colors, the designer didn’t make me feel bad or dumb for deleting the proof…and even helped fix my mistake of wood choices from initial order. This, of course, in addition to getting me an amazing custom engraving exactly how I wanted it. Simply an amazing experience…if you can afford it, do it. Bonus, it might fix the slight issue of traction that my old case had, lol. The new magnet feature? Worth it for the what $10-15…the worst part about it was that it *did* slightly make install harder. They work. Having a previous toast cover that didn’t have that, the difference for MagSafe is strong. Don’t get me wrong, without the new feature…the cover did not interfere with wireless charging or MagSafe “suspension/floating” chargers. I don’t use the wallet(s), but they never seem strong enough in the reviews for themselves anyway. Who knows…this added feature might help them. The added depth is maybe noticeable? I’m not sure if it’s the magnet add on or just that it’s a new phone. Screen protector/camera protector compatibility? Fits beautifully. I personally have an “ESR Armorite” set from Amazon. It’s a great combo and honestly, the glass screen protector on my last phone saved the screen from one *perfectly aligned* corner drop that the cover wouldn’t have saved. Again, this is a cover more than a case, but it does offer protection…just not an otterbox/military level. The camera protectors are nice too, and make it so only one layer of the toast cover is needed. One note of caution-install order is as follows (at least for my particular set of protectors): screen protector, toast cover (as instructed, camera then main), then camera protectors (mine are three separate, not one big square). I didn’t need to load up layer after layer to make the toast flush with the camera, and one was a perfect fit for the combination I have! The case itself? It’s new…I’m still in the baby it phase (we all do it, then can’t remember when we stopped doing it later on…), but I’m in love. As I mentioned before, it’s my second toast, and the first was for a new at release 12 pro. That case is still solid and beautiful. It aged nicely, held up, and gets attention. I’m sure this one will too. The engraving, has so far seemed to help the slick/smooth traction issue I had last time. My old cover (no magnet) worked beautifully with my charger (floating MagSafe type), and this one (with magnet) HOLDS on the same charger. The downsides? Very few…some not even relevant to everyone, but let’s talk about those last final little nagging concerns. If you’re a “I have 10+ cases and I switch them because ADHD/I can’t decide” person, no judgement…but maybe not for you. Unless you want to pay for a new cover every time…then more power to you. Install…it seems intimidating, and you might make a slight error. Follow the instructions, and you’ll still be happy with it. They do offer a “butterfingers” warranty, that sadly wasn’t included with my custom one (hey, that’s fair). So be careful and know if you’re like me and super want perfection, it can take some time. But it’s not hard. If you’re in their area, they’ll even install it for you. (To make up for the no butterfingers warranty, if you get custom art, they offer discounts on subsequent orders of said art and when I asked about the warranty, they did say they’d work on the price for a redo…so pretty nice for custom work). Still here? Then get the cover! That was a lot to read, and I hope I helped. One more bit of advice? Fine…mix your woods. Get one color for the main and an accent color for the buttons/camera…then let them know you’re thrilled to have a piece of wood that’s full of knots, swirls, and loops. That’s kind of two bits, but it’s related, so meh. Oh! Final thing-get the front cover piece. It’s $10. That means it’s not too much if you don’t use it (I haven’t yet, but I’m still back and forth…and hey those indecisives, that’s a new look later on…). It also means that if you get it now, you don’t have to pay shipping (and if you’re sold on the environmental aspect of these unique covers…even better to save the trip). Ok. Done. I swear. Good luck toasting your phone or whatever. For the record, I’ve toasted two phones, and four AirPods (classic, pro x2, and a pro 2)…they all look great!

Love this case!

Best company ever!

This is the perfect case for people who don't really want a case: a naturally beautiful, incredibly slim, real wood cover that accentuates your Apple iPhone 15's elegant design with origami magic!

We wouldn't want anything less than fabulous on our phones and we know you wouldn't either.  The incredible geometric details of our sleek wooden smartphone covers are laser-cut with exacting precision for a perfect fit.  We meticulously sand and finish each cover by hand to highlight the individual grain patterns in each piece of real wood and give your iPhone 15 a warm, tactile feel in your hand.

Our sleek veneers and high-quality adhesives allow our covers to be deliciously slim, assuring that every detail of the iPhone 15 Pro/Plus/Pro Max is protected and highlighted without adding bulk.  Toast wooden covers are thinner than traditional cases, yet far more durable (not to mention beautiful!) than a printed vinyl skin.  Each and every Toast case is a stand-out one-of-a-kind.

OPTIONAL MAGSAFE MAGNETS: This option adds a second layer of wood to the back panel that includes an embedded magnet ring.  This greatly increases the holding power of car mounts and other MagSafe accessories like wallets!  If you want a super-strong attachment, we definitely recommend adding this to your cover.  You can rest easy that this won't bulk up your Toast too much: the extra wood layer only adds 0.5mm of thickness.  We will match the base panel and side wraps to your choice of camera and button wood, unless you request otherwise.  (See detail photos.)

iPhone 15 model kits come with a set of camera surround covers so that you can choose to layer up the covers to match the height of the protruding lenses.

There's no mistaking the beauty, depth, and texture of real wood: Toast cases look, smell, and feel great!  We guarantee that you'll love it every single time you use it.

New to Toast?  Our covers are sustainable, real wood veneer and/or leather covers which adhere directly to your device with the highest-quality, cleanly-removable 3M adhesives.  They are NOT snap-on cases, vinyl decals, or rubber bumpers (they are wayyyyy nicer than that!) and there is NO plastic involved.  All parts of your Toast cover arrive in a flat pack and YOU have all the fun installing them onto your device: simply peel, stick, and go!  (Full instructions included.)  Read more on our FAQ page here.

You get ALL this awesomeness:

  • One-piece back and sides cover
